The Records Pack

The forms you keep while high school is happening, rather than the transcript you make at the end: report card, hours log, portfolio index, reading log, and the page an evaluator asks to see in April. What is in it

• Report card with course, level, two terms, final grade and credits, including a line for Bible and an ungraded narrative line for character.
• Graduation and credit tracker, target credits per subject area against credits earned, with the targets editable to your state and your plan.
• Attendance and instruction-hours log, for the states that count days or hours.
• Portfolio index and evaluator summary, for the states that send someone to look at the work.
• Reading log, with started and finished dates.
• Activities, service and church log. Role, dates, hours a week. This is the one a college application draws on.
• Weekly planner, subjects down the side and Monday to Friday across.
• Five faith pages, which is where the count reaches twelve: Scripture copywork, hymn of the month, a catechism and memory tracker, a family devotion and morning basket schedule, and a virtue tracker.
• Four more in the Catholic edition, for sixteen: the liturgical year, saint of the month, logs for Mass, Rosary and Adoration, and a simple examination of conscience.

Scripture and editions

Public-domain translations only. The Protestant edition quotes the King James, and its virtue tracker follows the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5. The Catholic edition quotes the Douay-Rheims, Challoner revision, and its tracker follows the twelve fruits. Both are set the same way and neither is a trim of the other. One thing worth knowing if you compare them: Douay psalm numbers run one behind the King James through most of the Psalter, so the shepherd psalm prints as Psalm 22 in the Catholic edition and Psalm 23 in the Protestant one.

What is not in it

No transcript workbook and no arithmetic. These are Word documents with tables you type into or print and fill in by hand, and nothing in them calculates a GPA. The 131 academic course descriptions, the Bible descriptions, the fifty-one state summaries and the guide are separate files. No field-trip log either; the activities, service and church log is where a trip goes. If the transcript is the piece you actually need, ours is free. That free file is the Protestant workbook, and the Catholic one differs by two lines of editable text.

Straight answers

Print or type? Either. The tables take typed entries, and they print clean for the families who keep a paper binder because that is what an evaluator wants to hold.

Will an evaluator accept these? An evaluator accepts a record that is complete and kept as you went, not one assembled the night before. The forms give you somewhere to put the work. Keeping them current is the part only you can do.

Do I need every section? No. Use the ones your state and your household call for and leave the rest. Nobody fills in every page.

Which edition do I get? The one you pick at checkout. Two separate files.
